Infrastructure needs constant updating. When the monastery was built in 1972, only very rudimentary facilities were there, serving a small community. As the community was growing, so did the need for water, electricity and sanitation.Retaining walls are regularly rebuilt to stop land slides.The water supply has been updated by drilling more wells and by replacing corrugated pipes. The sewerage system is undergoing a major overhaul, connecting it to the municipal system. Broadband has been installed to improve communication with the rest of the world. Office equipment needs to be renewed.
