Three Months lam Rim Retreat

Date: July 2 - October 1

Applications are accepted now

As part of the FPMT Basic Program at Kopan a three month Lam Rim Retreat will be held in summer 2015. It will be guided by Ven. Fedor,  who also teaches the Kopan Basic Program.

This is a wonderful opportunity to fullfill the retreat requirement of the Basic Program in the peaceful setting of Kopan Monastery and to meditate with leisure on the complete graduated stages of the path.

This is what Lama Zopa Rinpoche says about meditating on the Lam Rim: "When the first Masters Program finished I asked the students to do a one-year retreat on the lam-rim after studying for eight years. The students that followed my advice and went toOsel Ling in Spain to do retreat for nine months found it very beneficial and they said everyone must do retreat. They really agreed that the retreat was beneficial."

This retreat is suitable for you if you want to meditate for three months on the path to enlightenment, have some background in Buddhism and and have completed some Graduated Stages of the Path studies. The daily schedule will include meditation sessions incorporating practices for accumulating merits and purification, single pointed meditation and analytical guided meditations on Lam Rim topics. It will also include one daily dharma talk on the topic  of meditations orrelated to the retreat practices in general. A strong interest and commitment to Lam Rim Meditation is helpful.

The retreat will be lead by Ven. Fedor, resident teacher at Aryatara Institute in Germany.
